Welcome to Velveteen.  I'm Rachel and I design and make everything that you'll find on here from my little home studio,

Armed with my trusty sewing machine and fuelled by cups of tea (and the occasional slice of cake), I make scrumptious embroideries for the home.

I've loved creating and making things since I was little and what began as a hobby a few years ago has blossomed into a business. 

​

I have a real passion for fabrics, patterns and colour. I love how combining pretty fabrics, threads and a touch of imagination can create something new and unique.

​

I'm inspired by nature, storybooks, old sayings, my children.  Anything that has a touch of fun or is a little bit quirky. 

​

I pride myself in using only the best materials and in finishing every detail just right.
